چکیده
Concrete, ceramics, rocks, metal-matrix composites, titanium alloys and other hard-to-cut materials are frequently cut using the non-traditional cold processing method known as abrasive water jet machining (AWJM). A virtual system is proposed in study to minimize roughness of surface residual stress during AWJM alloy Ti6Al4V. Influence of Process Parameters on Surface Roughness in Abrasive Waterjet Cutting of Titanium
Abrasive waterjet cutting is one of the nontraditional machining processes capable of cutting wide range of hard-to-cut materials. This process incurs relatively higher initial investment, maintenance and operating costs. Therefore optimum choice of the process parameters is essential for the economic, efficient and effective utilization of this process. This paper assesses the influence of pro...
متن کاملForecast Surface Quality of Abrasive Water Jet Cutting Based on Neural Network and Verified by Experiments
In this study, firstly, the YL12 aluminum alloy is used as experimental materials, then in the following experiments it is cut in JJ-I-type water jet machines, and 1,000 group data are gotten by measurement. In each group data, pressure, material thickness, surface roughness, abrasive flow and traversing speed are included. Next, BP artificial neural network is established. In this network, the...
متن کاملInducing Residual Stress in Bone Using Abrasive Air-jet Surface Treatment
Based on past research, the growth and repair of bone is a function of physical activity (i.e. stresses) and bone chemistry. As such, the rate of recovery of an individual that has undergone total joint arthroplasty could be influenced by the introduction of changes in bone chemistry and “apparent” stress state in the bone that results from the surgical procedures and/or treatments. This prelim...
متن کاملAbrasive Water Jet Cutting (awjc) of Co-cr-mo Alloy Investment Castings in the Medical Device Industry
Investment castings (usually involving ceramic based shells) have traditionally been separated from the mould tree using an abrasive cutting operation. While material removal rates are relatively high, the process unfortunately suffers from poor accuracy control that often necessitates further finishing operations. Following an overview of key considerations in investment casting including tree...
متن کاملAn Investigation of Surface Quality Cut by Abrasive Water Jet
As abrasive water jet (AWJ) starts to be used in industry, especially in aerospace and automotive industries extensively, getting high quality surface has become a major requirement. Being a promising non-traditional cutting process, AWJ is holding several deficiencies, which limits its extensive applications dramatically. One of the deficiencies is striation marks presented on AWJ cutting surf...
